Question 1

Can I track any YouTube channel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Just paste any channel link or @handle. You don't need their permission, and other creators will never know you're watching.

Question 2

Do I need to connect my YouTube channel or grant access?

Accepted Answer

No. ScoutYT never touches your YouTube account or channel. You don't need to give any channel permissions or passwords. Everything we track comes from public YouTube pages.

Question 3

How does ScoutYT catch thumbnail changes if YouTube doesn't announce them?

Accepted Answer

Even though YouTube doesn't notify viewers when a thumbnail changes, ScoutYT watches public video pages around the clock. When a new graphic appears, we automatically save both the before and after versions side-by-side so you can see what changed.

Question 4

Can other creators tell I am tracking them?

Accepted Answer

No, never. Tracking is 100% private. Competitor channels receive zero notifications and have no way of knowing you are monitoring their uploads.
